Having lived in the Verbier area for over 10 years I have collated some of the very best recommendations to make your holiday in Verbier, the most memorable! Please browse at your leisure and for any further advice, or help with making reservations please feel free to contact me.

  • DAHU, $$ La Chaux - Top 3 on the mountain! Offers both a sit down a la carte restaurant or a cheaper self service restaurant (Dahu Break) downstairs. Dahu restaurant: table reservations should be made in advance. Quick service, very wide and extensive menu with reasonably priced options.
    ⭐ Popular dishes include Tortellini truffle pasta, amazing pizzas, steak tartare, garlic snails, fondue, salads, pumpkin soup, roast coquelet chicken, smoked salmon & potato galette, croute, kids menu.
    ⭐ Accessible to non-skiers too via La Chaux Express gondola from Ruinettes, or via a snowy walking path from Ruinettes (2.5 km, 45 min).

    LE CARREFOUR, $$$ Carrefour - Top 3 on the mountain! Offers sit down a la carte menu. Table reservations a must and dinner service available too.
    ⭐ Famous for their rosti creblet (& other rosti options), steak self cooked on a hot stone, tataki de boeuf, fondue, Carrefour and goats cheese salad, usually an asian inspired dish on the specials board, kids menu, cafe gourmand.
    ⭐ Accessible to non-skiers too via road, take the bus (Carrefour 1).

    CHEZ DANY, $$$ Clambin - Top 3 on the mountain! A beautiful Swiss ‘chocolate box’ style mountain restaurant on the piste, with incredible views. A la carte menu, table reservations a must and dinner service offered too (pre order their taxi service if you can’t walk up & then walk/sledge down).
    ⭐️ Popular dishes include croute, fondue, charcuterie board, meat dishes and pasta.
    ⭐️ Access on skis via an easier itinerary ski run (yellow coloured run), or on foot, hike up from Verbier town, roughly 30-40 min.

    CABANE MONT FORT, $$ Half way down the red ski piste Gentianes - Newly refurbished, this is one of the most beautiful settings for a mountain lunch. No reservations possible, limited seating (especially inside), so arrive early or late during peak season. You can also stay overnight for a mini adventure in both summer and winter! Top tip - ski tour up once lifts have closed, on a clear night the sky is mesmerising.
    ⭐️ Menu offers rosti, macaroni cheese, croute, simple baguettes, hot dogs & salads, plus delicious brownies & tarts!
    ⭐️ Access on skis via Gentianes red ski piste, down towards La Chaux.

    LE ROUGE, $$ The most accessible restaurant for ALL, accessed by ski, sledge, foot, bus or car! Restaurant AND après bar. Booking required in peak weeks.
    ⭐️ Favourites include the onion soup, Sea bass ceviche, Tono tonnato with seared tuna saku, beef tartar, burgers, ribs and fondue of course.

    LA MARLENAZ, $$ Beautifully situated within the trees and mountains on the Savoleyres side of the resort. Advisable to book. Lunch and Dinner (you can pre book their snow taxi for non-walkers).
    ⭐️ Menu delights include typical Swiss dishes; rosti, fondue and croute.
    ⭐️ Accessible for off piste skiers (not by the pistes), or on foot.

  • AU VIEUX VERBIER, $$$ Lunch and dinner, spacious outside terrace for sunny days. Speciality are the meat gallows!

    LE CHALET D’ADRIEN, $$$ Lunch, savour the grilled food and large salads on the sunny terrace, offering an incredible brunch on Sundays. For dinner, the choice between the Michelin-starred restaurant La Table d'Adrien, and Le Grenier the Alpine restaurant.

    FER A CHEVAL, $$ Lunch, après (mini pizza served with your drinks) and dinner, lovely outside terrace as well as cozy dinning inside, uniquely decorated. Very reasonable, good food with plenty of options including beef carpaccio, steak tartare, lasagne (& veggie), lobster ravioli, burgers, croute, salads and keep a look out on the specials board!

    CAFE GOOMAH, $$ Dinner, best kown for their sourdough pizzas, plus sharing platters and tapas style dining. A great ambience inside.

    AISEKI, $$ One of the best sushi restaurants in town! Open from 5pm, no reservations, take away possible too. Other sushi restaurants include Farinet and W Hotel.

    LE CAVEAU, $$ Lunch and dinner, THE place to go for fondue and raclette. Choose from a variety of fondue flavours including champagne & truffle!

    L’ECURIE, $$ Lunch and dinner with a wide options of meat, fish and also vegetarian dishes.

    MOUNTAIN AIR CAFE, $ Best coffee in town served with a smile, great for an easy apres drink after skiing down!

    ARCTIC CAFE, $ Morning coffee and lunch. Serving delicious organic coffee, juices and smoothies, plus healthy bites, brunch options, salads, wraps, and soups.

  • FARINET, Live bands every night and voted the Best Après Ski Bar Worldwide by ‘Which’. Alternatively step next door for Farinet’s cocktail lounge, open later with live DJ’s & serving sushi too.

    1936 (on the ski piste), The perfect pit stop on the last ski run down, relaxed tipi style with live musicians on some afternoons. Closed when the ski lifts close.

    VINABAGNES, Wine bar serving light tapas bites too.

    LE ROUGE (bottom of the ski piste), Ski straight to Le Rouge terrace for your perfect end of ski après drink! Also open for lunch and dinner.

    LUMI BAR, Opposite Medran ski lift, live music, perfect for hot chocolate with the kids or a vin chaud early eve and on till later in the night, latin nights too. Light bites served too.

    MILK BAR, for a milkshake with the kids.

    PUB MONT FORT, More relaxed seasonnaire vibes, with a pub style menu for dinner.
